Job Introduction

TLI Group are currently for an Accountant for our Finance department based in our Abbeydorney office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company.

Main Responsibilities

Month End

Ensure a timely and accurate weekly/month end close off

Preparation of full profit and loss account – accruals, prepayments, purchase invoice processing, sales invoicing and trending & variance analysis for revenue, cost of sales and operating expenses and intercompanies

Preparation of balance sheet – reconciliations, variance analysis, maintain FA register

Assist with reconciliation of P&L to Job Costing at month end.

Preparation of monthly management reporting packs for executive team and Board

Management of AP & AR

Responsible for the integrity of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable reconciling in full each month

Audit & VAT

Preparation and timely submission of accurate VAT Returns, RTD, and any other legislative obligations

Liaise with external partners on Year end Audit,  tax compliance (VAT, CT, etc.) and other filings with local authorities

Business Process Improvements & Project Support

Develop an understanding of all finance/business processes with a view to implementing efficiencies and improvements through proficient excel modelling and system upgrades

Assist with system upgrades set out within Departmental objectives

Weekly payroll management and headcount reporting (Ireland, UK, NIE) and associated processes

Partner and develop relationships with all teams within the organisation

This role will be required to perform such other duties as appropriate to the post, as may be assigned to you from time to time by the Financial Controller or such other designated person

The Ideal Candidate


  • Qualified Accountant
  • Degree or equivalent


  • Accounting software packages, Sage and Bespoke systems
  • Proficient use and knowledge of software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Project delivery
