Job Introduction

The Engineering Graduate will be responsible for electrical design works in our Office in Dublin. 

Travel to and from site on occasion will also be required to scope out projects and carry out site evaluations & meet clients and project members.

This role would suit a Degree qualified individual with Electrical/Electronic/Energy Engineering background level 8 or above. 

Main Responsibilities

Design Outputs & Responsibilities

  • Working under the direction of Lead Control & Protection Consultant.
  • Drawing preparation & detailing (AutoCAD, MicroStation, EPLAN).
  • Act as supporting designer to a Senior Substation Design Engineer.
  • Preparation of material specifications and design calculations where required.
  • Provide PSDP assistance where required and with a view to eventually acting as nominated PSDP representative for TLI Group where necessary.
  • Keep up-to-date on new technologies, build techniques and design innovations to drive improvements in cost, quality and timescales.
  • Avail of on the job mentoring from more senior team members to help develop understanding of electrical design processes through on the job learning, shadowing, training courses etc.
  • Preparation of material specifications and design calculations where required.
  • On-site quality auditing and recording as-built information.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Energy Engineering (NFQ Level 8)

Knowledge

  • Proficient use and knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Fundamental understanding of electrical engineering concepts.
  • Basic understanding of Transmission and Distribution networks in Ireland.
  • Ability to carry out new design concepts.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new design standards.
  • Practical knowledge of design and construction processes.

Skills
