The post holder for this position is responsible for the delivery of TLI Group Telecom's Fibre operations in line with the company mission, vision and values. Please note that this role is primarily based around Dublin so we invite applicants from the East Coast.

Main Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the TLI Safety Charter and Life Saving Rules
  • Ensure the Crew is working efficiently and diligently at all times – proposing changes and alternative methods to the Construction Manager to ensure the daily revenue is as per expectations
  • Zero Harm Target – Home Safe Every Day
  • Ensuring that all works are issued by the ‘Person Issuing the Works’ (PIW) for all Civils works
  • Ensuring the quality of the works – Civils Sign Off Sheet Audits to be completed before Crew completes an area
  • Ensuring cooperation on cube taking with the appointed sub-contractor
  • Ensuring dockets are checked for all materials to ensure compliance
  • Ensuring that all materials are disposed of in accordance with Legislation
  • Ensuring materials are available for proposed works
  • Completion of Safety Audits and recording of all real-time deviations
  • Ensuring team is reporting all near miss/good catches via the app on an ongoing basis
  • Implementing the Stop Register when works are deemed to be unsafe
  • Compiling and signoff of all timesheets for provision to the Construction Manager
  • Return of all required safety and quality paperwork every Monday morning to the HSQE Team.
  • Return of As-Builts to the Commercial Team on a daily basis
  • Mentor; Lead; Coach; Grow and develop your direct Teams
  • Sickness reporting, behaviour, holiday capture and absence management
  • Validation and sign off of timesheets for all direct Report Staff
  • Reporting PPE violations to H&S Team and ensuring compliance with all aspects to the project for the Crew

Operational Responsibilities

  • Detailed as-builts are returned to the office on a daily basis
  • Responsible for the Crews compliance to HSQE
  • Overtime authorisation for all subordinate staff through direct reports

  • Commercial astute – flag all opportunities to make work streams more efficient
  • Ensuring that all materials are disposed of in accordance with Legislation
  • Ensuring materials are available for proposed works
  • Compiling and signoff of timesheet for provision to the Construction Manager/Supervisor
  • Mentor; Lead; Coach; Grow and develop your direct team members
  • Commercial astute and aware of what outputs are required from the crew on a daily basis

Qualifications

  • Level 1 UG SIRO
  • Level 3 UG SIRO
  • SLG & LUGs

Desirable

  • Truck Licence
  • Trailer Licence
  • First Aid
  • Local Authority Basic Reinstatement training
  • Level E Sub-Stations

Knowledge

  • Experience with OH and UG power line works
  • Experienced with all types of civil builds
  • Evidence of several consistent successes within the Utilities sector
  • Ability to mentor and train trainees and inexperienced Personnel
